Timo Jakumeit (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in Information and Communication Technology and the M.Sc. degree in Advanced Signal Processing and Communications Engineering from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Erlangen, Germany, in 2021 and 2024, respectively. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree (Dr.-Ing.) with the Institute for Digital Communications at FAU. In 2026, he was a visiting researcher with Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA, where he conducted research in terahertz bioelectromagnetics. His current research focuses on molecular communications for the Internet of Bio-Nano-Things, with particular emphasis on channel modeling, experimental model validation, and applications in epidemiology.
