Communication theory, stochastic modeling, biomedical applications of communication systems

Theofilos Symeonidis received the Integrated Master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Institute for Digital Communications, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Germany. His research focuses on molecular communications, particularly the analytical modeling of communication channels in biomedical environments. His work addresses diffusion- and flow-based molecular communication systems, including closed-loop channels and the impact of time-varying physiological flows on signal propagation, using mathematical analysis, stochastic modeling, and numerical simulations. His broader research interests include communication theory, stochastic modeling, and biomedical applications of communication systems.
