The IDC was strongly represented at this year’s IEEE GLOBECOM 2025, held in Taipei, Taiwan. Our participation included leadership roles and multiple scientific contributions. GLOBECOM is one of the two flagship conferences of the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) and is recognized as a premier international forum for researchers and practitioners in communications and sensing.
Prof. Robert Schober attended the conference in his capacity as President of IEEE ComSoc, contributing to strategic and organizational activities at the highest level.
Ata Khalili played an active role in the technical program, serving as Session Chair for three sessions:
  • SAC–AC Interactive-02 (Emerging Topics)
  • SAC–ISAC-05 (Interference/Clutter-Aware Design & Full-Duplex SIC)
  • WC-06 (Movable and Fluid Antennas)
Two papers from our chair were accepted for presentation:
Both papers were successfully presented during the conference, contributing to the growing visibility of IDC’s research in ISAC, optical communications, and advanced antenna technologies.
In addition to the technical program, GLOBECOM 2025 offered an engaging lineup of keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, providing a vibrant platform for scientific exchange and collaboration.
