IDC Researchers Win Best Paper and Best Poster Award at NanoCom ’25 in Chengdu

The high quality of research at IDC has been again acknowledged at the 12th ACM International Conference on Nanoscale Computing and Communication (NanoCom 2025), held in Chengdu, China, from October 23–25.

IDC researchers Bastian Heinlein and Prof. Robert Schober contributed to the poster “Airborne Molecular Communication Using MOS Sensors under Controlled Airflow“, which received the Best Poster Award. The poster has been first-authored and presented by Kaikai Zhu, a collaboration partner from the SyMoCADS project.

Furthermore, the paper “Molecule Mixture Detection and Alphabet Design for Non-linear, Cross-reactive Receiver Arrays in MC” first-authored and presented by Bastian Heinlein has been awarded the Best Paper Award. It has been co-authored together with Dr. Sebastian Lotter and Prof. Robert Schober from IDC, Prof. Vahid Jamali from Technical University of Darmstadt, Yansha Deng from King’s College London, and Kaikai Zhu, Sümeyye Carkit-Yilmaz, Helene Loos, and Andrea Büttner from the Chair for Aroma and Smell Research.
