IDC member Dr.-Ing. Gui Zhou has been awarded the prestigious IEEE Signal Processing Society Best PhD Dissertation Award 2024 for her doctoral thesis titled: “Transmission Design for Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface-Aided Wireless Systems.”

Notably, this is the first dissertation in the area of signal processing for communications to receive this honor.
