Kenneth Mayer is now a “Dr.-Ing.”!
We’re proud to share that our former colleague, Kenneth Mayer, has successfully defended his dissertation on May 12, 2025, earning the degree of Dr.-Ing. In his thesis, “System Design and Signal Processing to Facilitate Health Monitoring via Wearable IoT Devices,” Kenneth Mayer tackled key challenges in health monitoring, including the optimisation of antenna positioning for wireless power transfer and the analysis of electromyographic data, which is a relevant health marker for neurological diseases. Kenneth Mayer was part of the collaborative research center “EmpkinS”, which aims to develop novel digital and patient-centric diagnostic approaches in medicine and psychology, and he was supervised jointly by Prof. Robert Schober, Prof. Laura Cottatellucci, and Prof. Björn Eskofier.
We congratulate Dr.-Ing. Kenneth Mayer on this significant achievement and wish him all the best for his future endeavours!
