IDC researcher to visit lab of Prof. Karagiannidis at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
Recently, Sebastian Lotter, postdoctoral researcher at IDC, was invited to visit the lab of Prof. George Kargiannidis at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. During his visit, Sebastian got the chance to attend the defense of a Master thesis on Molecular Communication and he delivered a talk entitled “How to engineer communication inside the human body – Basics and recent progress in Synthetic Molecular Communication” in which he explained conceptual Molecular Communication fundamentals and presented some testbeds developed recently at IDC. He also discussed the importance of interdisciplinary research in Molecular Communication and introduced the DFG-funded Research Training Group 2950 “SyMoCADS: Synthetic Molecular Communication Across Different Scales”, coordinated by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert Schober (IDC) and Prof. Dr. Kathrin Castiglione (BVT, FAU), to the audience. The talk was well-attended and concluded by a lively Q&A session.
